Luang Prabang-ing!

Luang Prabang in the north of Laos - one of our favourite places we have visited this trip.

You want to know why? Well here's a few reasons:

The food (always most important):
Yummy baguettes every morning for 10,000kip (80p!) = delish!
Fill your plate for 10,000kip dinner  = also delish!
The blend of French colonial with traditional Laos architecture:
Too cool!
Not quite templed out yet

The peace and tranquility you can find everywhere:

Buddha without his make up on
Hanging out on Phusi hill

This lizard was chilling too

The chance to see traditional Lao craftsmanship in action:
I am a silk worm
I am never glum
How can you not be happy
When silk comes out your bum

- Anon
Silk worm cocoons ready for spinning into silk
And here's the colourful result!
And of course the chance to explore the great outdoors is never far away!

One day on Mama Chari style bikes got us in the mood for a longer ride...
60km return trip on mountain bikes got us to this beauty
Oh boy were we ready for a swim!
BEAUTIFUL!
